The Decorating Process

What to expect, step by step.

THE BIDDING PROCESS

Our estimator will meet with you to go over the painting and remodeling project you want to have done. At this point, we will answer any questions or address any concerns you may have about your project. Unlike many painting contractors, with our latest technology we can give you a printed, comprehensive proposal before we leave your home. This proposal will lay out the painting process from start to finish and give you the exact job cost.

SCHEDULING

One of the first things we ask about is your scheduling needs. We want to make sure that we can accommodate your schedule as much as possible. When a signed proposal is received, the project is put onto our schedule. We tell you the start date and then keep you updated if any unforeseen changes need to be made.

START OF WORK

At the beginning of the project, Clay and the project foreman will meet with you to do a walk-through of your home and to go over the details. The foreman will have a complete job write-up that follows the specifications outlined on your original proposal. Great care will be taken to move, cover and protect all furnishings and floors.

DOING THE WORK

All painting work is done in proper sequence and in accordance with paint manufacturers’ specifications. Surface preparation — washing, scraping, sanding, etc. — is completed first. Then priming, if required, is next, followed by the finish paint.  All remodeling projects will also be done with the utmost care and to manufacturers’ specifications. The field supervisor will inspect the work periodically while it is ongoing to ensure it is running smoothly and according to plan.

COMPLETING THE WORK

We will let you know a day or so before we expect to complete the work. Clay will personally do a final walk-though with you.  This gives you an opportunity to inspect the work and to ensure that nothing was missed. Our crew will then wrap up the project and take care of any touch-ups to your full satisfaction. We won’t leave until everything is cleaned up and back in its place.
